Porter Hire National Hire Manager, Paul Kot, says the new facility builds on Porter Hire’s long-standing reputation for providing machine fleet solutions in Queensland’s Toowoomba and Western Downs region.
“We’ve had a base in Dalby since 2011, which was established during the coal and gas resources boom,” says Paul. “The new purpose-built facility will be our third location in Dalby, with the consistent performance and growth of the Porter Hire business having meant we’ve outgrown two previous sites.”
Paul says that with Porter Hire’s business having tripled in volume over the last two-to-three years, a larger, upgraded facility supplying and servicing an array of earthmoving equipment for both short and long-term hire in the region, was a must.
“The new depot consists of a significant four bay workshop, crane, integrated oil lines, hard-stand area, and a reception area. With machines rotating on and off hire with frequency, we needed to expand the workshop in order to provide a more efficient turnaround for customers.”
Helmed by branch manager Peter Farquharson, and with up to five support staff – including technical field staff able to travel to customers on-site – the Dalby depot is ably supported by the Brisbane branch for machine parts and consumables, ensuring a reliable service footprint that extends from the Pacific Coast to the Western Downs.
Replicating the broad portfolio of brands and heavy-duty machinery options Porter Group boasts on the distribution side of the business, Porter Hire Dalby is also capable of delivering an impressive mix of brands and machinery to clients.
“With Porter Group being the established distributor for Hyundai, Ammann, Sandvik, Portafill, and Rokbak machinery in Australia, Porter Hire Dalby has a full suite of excavators, loaders, rollers and articulated dump trucks available for both short and long-term hire,” says Paul.
“Porter Hire Dalby also supplies and supports CAT graders, dozers, and water trucks. We understand that there is no one-size-fits-all solution for the wide variety of clients we support in the region, so it’s important that we have options available to suit.
