Porter Hire is pleased to announce further investment in our rental equipment fleet for 2022. The latest acquisition comprises over 300 heavy machines, set to meet increased demand in the New Zealand and Australian civil industries.
The new machine additions span a wide range of industries and are equipped with the latest machine technology. While a large portion of investment has been made across all weight classes in our excavator range, a key focus of this upgrade was expanding our heavy fleet, with a significant investment made in excavators over 30-ton, articulated dump trucks, graders, and bulldozers to align with key civil markets and roading project demands.
This fleet upgrade, which builds on the already extensive investment made in 2021, reflects Porter Hire’s ongoing commitment to our customers. Our hire teams across New Zealand and Australia work hard to provide the most comprehensive heavy equipment rental service, which is why we are continuing to ensure the availability of quality machines suited to every application.
Throughout the purchasing process, considerable attention was paid to machine innovation and emissions reduction. As emissions regulations and reduction targets become increasingly prevalent across the industry, Porter Hire aim to ensure our equipment is suitable for all job sites and meets market expectation. These recent upgrades feature significant reductions in fuel burn and improvements in machine efficiency; ensuring our customers can remain competitive.
“With the continuing demand for new technology and reliable equipment, we will be a step ahead in supplying the market for what is shaping up to be a very busy 2022/2023 NZ earthworks season.” Scott Briggs, Porter Hire New Zealand National Manager.
A significant upgrade has also been made to our Porter Access product offering. Porter Access has responded to the industry’s growing demand for 5 and 6-star rated builds; adding a range of 15-18m scissor lifts and 20m boom lifts. All battery-powered, these additions will help our customers reduce their carbon footprint on site. Porter Access has also added a significant number of new machines with tier 5 engines, and machines with idle shut-off systems. This is part of Porter Access’ commitment to engage customers during purchase planning and play a leading role in reducing CO2 emissions.
“We have recently invested substantial capital into our Access business to both refresh the fleet and to add to our offering in EWPs, telehandlers, and all-terrain forklifts to further support our loyal and growing customer base.” Allan Toms, Porter Access National Hire Manager.
With a renewed fleet comes a renewed promise to our customers to continue to provide market-leading backup service. Our teams work alongside customers to evaluate job requirements and ensure our machines are meeting expectations. With our own specialist mechanics, technicians and workshops, Porter Hire can ensure uptime, keeping your business moving.
